Wagner is personally excited to see how the new National Pork Board campaign can align with the goals in Pennsylvania.
Jack Egan joins the leadership team as the newly elected Vice President. As Chairman of the Emerging Leaders program, Jack has played a key role in its success, accepting the largest class in 2025, since it’s return to the council. His leadership in this program has demonstrated his ability to inspire and guide others, making him a valuable addition to the executive team.
Dave Reinecker will continue serving as Treasurer, providing stability and financial stewardship to the council’s operations. Reinecker offers a lifetime of knowledge in pork production and guidance to both the council and the industry.
Former President Ben Barcovtch transitions into the role of Past President, where he will continue offering his support to the organization. Ben’s leadership and contributions during his tenure as President of the PA Pork Producers Council have proven invaluable
Jason Manbeck has completed his service on the executive committee. After serving as Past President for the past three years, following his three-year term as President, Jason has made significant contributions to our board. We commend him for his dedication and commitment to the council.
“We are excited to welcome this dedicated team of leaders who will drive our mission forward,” said Courtney Gray, Executive Director. “Their passion for Pennsylvania’s pork industry and commitment to producer and consumer education will be invaluable as we continue our work.”

The Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council (PPPC) administers the Pork Checkoff on behalf of the state’s nearly 3,000 pig farmers. PPPC acts as a steward for Pork Checkoff funds at the state level and is charged with executing specific programs in the areas of promotion, research and education. No funds may be used for lobbying or to influence government policy. Checkoff-funded promotions are designed to increase domestic pork sales through consumer, retail and food service outreach. Additionally, Checkoff-funded research is administered in all areas of pork production, processing and human nutrition to develop a higher quality, more profitable and innovative product in the competitive meat protein market.
